Widgets can customize your pages on your site. In Live Edit, the widgets will be broken into two groups; content and modules. Content widgets allow you to add content to your page. Modules widgets allow you to add modules to your page.
The Tabbed Widget provides a way to create a unique look for your page. You can create tabs to separate the widgets for a specific topic in one central location. It also allows your users to click and view the content.
Editor Widgets allow you to format text. They can be used in the Tabbed Widget.
Modules populate dynamic information that links throughout the site and relates to the appropriate pages. Many modules have subscription options for your customers that allows them to subscribe to updates to the calendar, agendas, etc.
Information in Modules is generally brief and responsive to specific customer needs. This allows modules to be very specific: events for the calendar, alerts for the Alert Center, agendas in the Agenda Center, and so on.
Modules generally organize by category. Often administrative users are given access to specific categories that fit their role; permissions support this structure.
